A Gift to Borrow
#163
Friend,
I have a gift for you.
It may not sound like much, but it may be just what you need today.
And actually, I’m just going to let you borrow something. That’s still a gift though. If your neighbor lets you borrow the pool, you still receive the joy of swimming in it. If your uncle lets you borrow the truck, you will still move the new furniture to your house.
The purpose of this gift is to help you get from here to there, because I know you feel stuck. I know you feel trapped. I know you feel overwhelmed. I know your hope has faded and your self-belief has tanked.
So here is the gift:
I’m letting you borrow the belief and hope that I have for you for yourself.
You can’t muster the self-confidence, so you can have mine. I know you can do this. I’ve seen you overcoming other obstacles before, and I know that you can overcome this one. You can’t see how far you’ve come because you are surrounded by trees and mountains, but I can, and WOW(!), you’ve come a long way.
And I know your hope-meter is on empty, so I’m giving you my hope for you until your hope returns. I wish you could see yourself the way that I see you, and I know that your future is bright and beautiful (and the future is closer than you think).
So that’s my gift for you today: my belief and hope, because you don’t have it in yourself.
Go ahead and take it.
Go ahead and trust it.
Love,
Aaron
