After the "Meggedon"
#189
Friend,
I wonder how long this snow will linger.
Not the regular snow in the front yard that will melt in the sun and the 35 degree weather, but the large piles that have been cleared in parking lots and left in the shade.
I’m guessing for a week or two, we’ll still see the remnants of the Snowmeggedon of 2026. And then one day, it’ll warm up enough, even in the shade, for that pile of snow to melt away.
This is a post about anger.
Something happens in your life, and the “meggedon” happens, but what do you want to do? You want to move on, so you clear the path, plowing the flurries of brokenness, grief, bitterness, disappointment, and pain into a corner. It stays there, untouched by light and sheltered from the day-to-day traffic of our mind and activities.
But it’s still there, and it needs attention to melt. Anger is like snow; if it isn’t exposed, it won’t melt, and it’ll keep everything cool around it. So, don’t neglect your anger, expose it to a little light by being honest, being curious, and being mindful, and it, too, can melt away.
Love,
Aaron

Yes and Amen.
Thanks Pastor Aaron. I needed that message today. Better yet, I plan to act on it!
