God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
    for they will see God. Matthew 5:8

“I can see clearly now the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way. Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind, “It’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day.”

I imagine we have all sung or heard that song at some point in time.

I also imagine that we have all felt that way at some point in time.

Think about how good it feels when you have been driving in a rain storm, and then finally you get to a clearing, and you can see. You can relax. You know what is happening around you. It’s so freeing and hopeful.

The same thing is true about our hearts. They are often cloudy, divided, and even sometimes despicable. While our culture says, “Follow your heart.” The scripture says, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”
