Eerily Quiet: When Your Baby Moves Out
#165
Friend,
The house is eerily quiet. It’s been filled with noise of all kinds. Laughter, yelling, joking, pleading, and more, but now it’s quiet.
Eerily quiet.
Crazy quiet.
Ridiculously quiet.
I know you longed for this day someday. The noise was too much. The pressure was too intense. And you just wish you had a quiet house to yourself.
You forgot what quiet even was. You thought privacy was something you wouldn’t have for a minute, and now you have it for days.
Your baby isn’t a baby.
Your baby isn’t home.
They’ve moved on. They send you a picture (or more likely, you see a picture on Instagram). You see their smile, and that makes you crack a smile, a split second before the tears rush to your eyes.
All you can do now is pray for them, Venmo them, and wait for them to make the next move.
But I want you to know:
Well done.
They couldn’t have done it without you.
Love,
Aaron

Love this!
PS. I get 30 more minutes on my phone.
