Friday is Good.
Sunday is Better.
Saturday is Horrible.
Today is Saturday. It’s the day between death and resurrection. It’s the day of waiting. Sometimes we wait with hope, but not on this Saturday. On this Saturday, we wait with despair.
On Saturday, we’d rather go back to Thursday. We’d rather go back to before everything broke apart, and we’d rather go back to the uneasy normal of the week that was.
But it’s Saturday, and Saturday sucks. God is silent. Hope is dark, and the cruel Earth keeps spinning slowly forward when everything in your soul wants it to rewind or fast forward to the good part.
Saturday is Horrible. But that Holy Saturday didn’t last forever, but that Sunday did.
Because Sunday is Better.
