I Am a Writer
#200
Friend,
Some mornings I don’t want to write.
I might be weary (Some mornings, I’m tired).
I might be behind (Some mornings, life is happening).
I might be discouraged (Some mornings, I’m writing to myself).
But for over 3 years, and now 200 letters later, I keep writing. I keep hoping to be hopeful for you. I probably wouldn’t have the discipline to get up and do this each morning if I didn’t know it made a difference. So thank you.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for liking, commenting, and sharing this with someone in need, and thank you for subscribing.
3 years ago, I didn’t see myself as a writer, but someone who maybe one day would be. I’m not sure when it happened, but somewhere in this journey, my identity has shifted to an understanding that I am a writer. And that’s because of you. I’ve always seen this as a community, and all communities are a circle of mutuality and support, and you’ve supported me.
When I started writing, I didn’t expect to add a paid subscribers section, but now it’s a life-giving part of my weekly routine. I am also dabbling with other writing projects, including a book on Caring Like a Samaritan (based on one of my letters), and I’m currently working on a short story, “Everybody Lied.”
So who knows what is next, but I’m thankful we have this journey together in community.
And I wonder what you could discover about yourself in three years if you started something today. I believe in you.
Love,
Aaron

Aaron, you are a wordsmith in my view, whether on the pulpit or in these letters. Please do keep writing. I see love, wisdom an courage in what you write and I'm pretty sure that's an effective combination with whomever it lands. Pat R
