Friend,
I came across this quote the other day, and I thought of you:
“Maybe sometimes in the midst of things going terribly wrong, something is going just right.” Gerald May
I know things aren’t going right for you. And it’s been going terribly wrong for a while. You are tired, exhausted, and desperate for just a bit more light in your darkness.
I don’t want to minimize your pain or your experience. It sucks. You are not a wimp, you don’t need to toughen up. You certainly can’t just get over it.
I just want to gently remind you that even in the middle of this storm, there can be something good or beautiful. Even in this midst, you can be formed in beautiful and good ways.
So, let me be clear: In the midst of the storm, there is rain that can nourish you. Even when it seems like the world is against you, God is doing something in you and with you. Sometimes there are serendipitous surprises in storms.
And that’s what I want for you, my friend, that something you can’t see right now is going just right.
Love,
Aaron
