Friend,
In case nobody told you recently, “You are merely human.”
Sometimes I like to think that I am something else:
A hero that exists to save other people.
A god who is supposed to know what others are thinking and feeling.
A perpetual motion machine that never stops.
But the beautiful truth is that you and I are merely human, and that is a gift.
Being merely human means:
We are designed to cease, to rest, to be still.
We are not responsible for being omniscient.
We do not have to save ourselves or others.
When God created humanity in His Image, the words He spoke over us are “Very Good.”
Merely human may not seem like much at first, but it means we are made in God’s image and we are very good.
I hope that is what you needed to hear today.
Love,
Aaron
Yes, our humanity is evident.
