Friend,
“He took my sins and my sorrows, and he made them his very own.”
What if you believed this to be true?
One of the crazy things that we believe as followers of Jesus is that somehow and someway, Jesus bore not only our failures but also our burdens on the cross.
You are probably weary today because you are still carrying what Jesus came to carry for you.
That thing you did that still brings shame to your soul- Jesus already bore that on the cross.
That grief that you think you have to mourn alone- Jesus mourned that on the cross for you.
So today, I invite you to live if those words of the song are true. What if you could trust that you don’t have to suffer alone, but instead believed that Jesus took your sins and sorrows and bore them with you?
Then truly you could sing the chorus of that song with great hope:
“How marvelous, how wonderful and my song shall ever be. How marvelous, how wonderful is my Savior’s love for me.”
Love,
Aaron
Happy Easter to you, Heather and the boys!
