Pain is an Attention Magnet

If it’s true that “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted,” then Jesus must be right next to you.

But it doesn’t feel that way, does it?

Pain is an attention magnet. Pain demands our attention. It demands to be noticed, to be seen, to be treated, and to be soothed. Pain SHOUTS!!

TAKE CARE OF ME!
THIS HURTS!
YOU MUST DO SOMETHING!

And it’s hard to hear the still small voice of God over the loud shouts of misery and pain.

And here is the whisper of God for you, my friend…

“the lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
