It’s not just that life isn’t fair. It’s that your life isn’t fair.
We know things won’t always work out for us, but you thought a few breaks would have gone your way by now.
You thought someone would see you.
You thought your efforts would open a door.
You thought you’d be further along by now.
Injustice is a big word, but it fits you today. You’ve experienced an injustice, and in the face of injustice, what do you do?
You can be consumed by anger and burn everything down.
You can be consumed by misery and stay curled up on the ground.
You can be consumed by grace and face the relentless reality of today, again.
It is today, again. For days, weeks, and months, you’ve been courageously facing the relentless reality of today, again. And I am praying for you to have the grace to face today, again with others, and to rely on the infinite grace of God.
It is today, again. But you are not alone, still.

Really apreciate this framing. The distinction between injustice as abstract concept vs personal reality makes it hit harder. Been going through a rough patch where effort doesnt seem to move the needle, and that choice between anger/misery/grace is exactly what it feels like in the moment.
