Friend,
“Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.”
I think about this lyric from “Closing Time” more regularly than I like to admit, and maybe that is because you are living in a revolving door of beginnings and endings.
Endings bring grief and loss.
Beginnings bring uncertainty and being overwhelmed.
That’s a lot to carry on a Wednesday.
So why don’t you take a moment, pause, and name your reality?
I miss _______________________ from my old world.
I am overwhelmed by _____________________________________ in my new world.
And here is my prayer for you:
God,
Would you help my friend who is caught in the revolving door of grief and uncertainty? May they be able to sit with you in their sadness and their possibilities and in their loss and in their opportunities. Would they know you are the same yesterday, today, and forever? In a world that is constantly changing, you are simply constant.
Amen.
Love,
Aaron
