Friend,
“Our next available appointment is _________.”
“The test results will be back in ___________.”
“We’ll let you know about the job next _______.”
And now you wait.
You’ve just been dropped a bomb, your future seems to hinge on whatever they learn or decide, and all you can do is wait.
And the weight of this wait is crushing you.
The wait is heavy because it is loaded with uncertainty, and the heavier the uncertainty the more anxious and weary you can become.
What you need amid uncertainty is stability and community.
It’s hard to carry a heavy weight on an uneven surface. You need a foundation that grounds you. Find level ground. This story might help.
It’s hard to carry a heavy weight on your own. You need a community to help bear your burden. This song might help.
And one more thing.
And this is important.
If you embrace waiting with Jesus, then Jesus will certainly embrace you in the wait.
Love,
Aaron
P.S. I’d love to pray for you. Send me your prayer requests here.
Being in “God’s Waiting Room,” as Author Joyce Landorf writes and speaks about, is never lost time. Rather, we are stretched and strengthened as we wait, trusting in His timing🙏🏻 for our good and his glory🙏🏻
