Friend,
Winter doesn’t last forever.
Thank God.
And I’m not just talking about the weather from last week. I know that you are in your emotional winter. How do you know that you are in an emotional winter? It’s hard to get things to grow.
Some seasons of life should be focused on surviving. That is why trees shed their leaves in the fall, so that during the winter, their energy is focused on the roots, the trunks, and the branches. The goal of a tree is to survive the harsh winter.
I know you are there too. Maybe you’ve said no to things because the energy it takes to survive is all the energy you have. You don’t have the energy to try new things, see new things, be new things. You need to bundle up and make it through.
Christmas is in winter, so we remember there is light in the darkness. Spring follows winter, so we can see that after surviving a miserable season, new life can spring forth again. Winter doesn’t last forever, life is about to spring forth.
I know it’s been a tough and longer emotional winter for you, but I believe Spring is coming. So get ready to go to the garden and plant something new.
Love,
Aaron

This! I've been "stuck" for awhile. I want 2025 to be a time of personal change for me. I've been praying about it.
Yes, this season is getting longer for me.
