You Did It! Now What?
#211
Friend,
You did it!
It was amazing!
All that hard work paid off!
Now what?
One of the hardest days is the next day. The adrenaline has left, and exhaustion has entered the chat. For so long, this was the goal. It has been circled, worked for, and finally completed, and now it’s over.
In the “Now, what?” there is not only exhaustion, but there is also grief. There’s a loss. You are losing relationships. You were working with others, all heading in the same direction, and now you scatter, each moving onto something new. You are losing purpose. Your goal was clear, but now, it’s different.
Not only are you exhausted, but next is now.
Sometimes, the next is nothing. There’s nothing on the horizon. This event, this program, this season took all your energy and focus, and you haven’t even the margin to look beyond.
Sometimes, the next is a big thing. You crossed this finish line, but it is actually a starting line as well. You don’t have time to rest because a new race has begun.
Whether you are in a new thing or nothing, I want to invite you to pause and look back at what you’ve done. Be proud of yourself. Pause to celebrate. Express gratitude to those who helped you on the journey.
Tomorrow is always a day away, so use time today to reflect.
Love,
Aaron
